Topic: address bar is gone (Page 1 of 1)

I seem to have lost the 'address bar' or whatever it is called at the bottom of internet explorer - the one where the secure site padlock sits. any idea how to get it back?

The bar at the bottom is called 'status bar'.

Have you run some anti-spyware to see if there's nothing going in your back.

I don't know how to get it back. I've had a quick look in the options and advanced settings of IE but can't find anything mentionning the status bar.

And unless you really have to use IE you should seriously consider using a better and safer browser like Opera and Firefox.

View >> Status Bar

Make sure it is checked.

I'm getting old. Either that or my brain no longer work in French. I went over the Affichage > Barre d'état menu but did not realized they mean status bar. Man, I hate using localized softwares.
