Actually, I can understand that these actors try to learn communicating by the asian standards, and afaik, that commercial was a huge success in japan, where
they love lil' creatures, monsters, pokemons, you name it.

And of course, he doesn't need the quick buck, so... who knows?

Maybe he was drunk.

Anyway, I guess we can call that polyvalence: actor, Terminator, Japanator, then Governator, what'll be next?
