Right now I'm getting sucked into more into contrast and cheap ways of faking it. As much as I adore gamma, I don't like all those power functions slowing me down. Back to linear algebra and geometry for some quick-n-sleazy fakery. Have you ever looked into gamma and human perception? Good stuff. Several places for eyeballs, and even some stuff for our ears.
