There is no equivalent of [i]netscape.security.PrivilegeManager.enablePrivilege( )[/i] in Opera. This might be a useful feature if the UI is clear for the users and do not let evil people trick the users to grant higher privileges by mistake. However some [url=http://my.opera.com/operaplatform/links/]relaxed builds of Opera 8.5 were released for testing purpose with Opera Platform[/url]. [url=http://my.opera.com/community/dev/widgets/]Widgets[/url] also have a relaxed security model. And basically all you need to turn a web page into a widget is a config.xml file to set the name and default resolution and ZIP the whole thing.
