Finally made a new sig for the asylum. Wondering if I got the transparency right...

And again on the other background.

If this works, I'll probably adapt it to match the colors of a few other forums I post on. I rather like how it looks.

Hmmm. It's not as clean on the lighter background. Not sure what isn't working right though. I have matte set to the eyedropper color of #2B0404, which should be the correct blend.

Since the your sig is bright you should fade to the lighter bg color. To be nice to the darker bg color, make sure to actually fade to the lighter bg color ( and not stop just before reaching it ).

To make the flame look less "Filter > Distor > Shear", make a Feather'ed selection and apply a few Twirls.

And since there already is a harsh border at the bottom, you might as well add a glow to make the color more homogenous(?) at the bottom.

I think I may have figured out my transparency problems when I did the jewelry sig for this month's contest. It helps if you are using the correct color, which I beleive I have this time. At least, I hope I do.

Well, this version looks fine on the dark background, what about the lighter?



Ya know what? It's good enough for me.
