I'd like to create a virtual photo gallery - I've done this in the past - but without the user needing a plugin- this rules out 3dml, vrml, and atmosphere (the last two being pretty much dead, the first very ill).
essentially i just want a simple virtual room with textured floors, walls, some spot lighting..something that can render decent resolution images quickly without the user downloading a plugin. the user could walk around the gallery but that's about it...i don't need scripting or much interactivity.
I know there are opensource flash 3D engines out there but I'm looking for a much simpler solution....flash would be great but java i guess would be ok...
any ideas?
p.s. I'm posting this here rather than in the 3D forum because this has little to do with modelling- feel free to move it if you think otherwise.
