I ended up staying up for a couple more hours watching the meteor shower. My wife had never seen one so we checked it out. It was a good one, I wish I could have stayed up longer...but I'm old |

Well, you don't always have to be that far north neccessarily. Under normal conditions, yes, way way up north is where you're most likely to be able to see the lights; however, on rare occasions like this, they can be seen much farther south.
