I was cleaning the cookies for Firefox today and noticed that a lot of them use the variable names '__utma' and '__utmz'. Several seemed to have been sent from know ad-tracking sites, but then I saw that a lot are from legitimate sites like the Asylum. I searched for '__utmz' on the net and got a lot of references to JavaScript code that is setting cookies with the name __utmz. What does utmz mean and why is it so commonly used as a cookie name? . -- not necessarily stoned... just beautiful.
