Just wondering what would be the best way to go about creating this in flash....

I want to create a banner (486x90) that pulls images out of an image directory and display each image automatically. I would like it to fade it and out. I've been doing so many banner modifications lately I
just want to create something that I can just swap out images and possibly a link. Doable? Simple?

Why not use JavaScript.

I'm not too familiar with JS... let me take a peek around for that. I just figured a flash banner would be easier. :-)

Using JavaScript, it is : doable, simple, accessible.

Check the script I made for the splash page of http://www.opera.com , the cross fading animation on the LCD screen. I don't know why they didn't do that, but for accessibility ( and bling bling ) reasons /img/newsplash/fallback.jpg should be an animated gif. So that if JS is not enabled, you still have an animation. AFAIR the only case where it kinda fails is with CSS off, IMG on.

... oh, huh, and hush hush about THE comment in the script
