For a substantial period of time after Kryptonite was introduced to the Superman radio series (in 1943, partly to give the actor, Bud Collyer, the chance of a break once in a while), I think it was generally accepted that Kryptonite was an element, formed during the destruction of Superman's home planet, Krypton. |

According to Wikipedia, there are 15 different forms of Kryptonite. One of them is pink Kryptonite, which apparently turns Kryptonians gay. |

of course, any attempt at serious discussion of something like kriptonite assumes that superman was not the lamest attempt at character creation ever in the first place...so......... |

Can't really argue you with you there. Superman was always my least favorite superhero. I mean, let's face it: Superman was kind of a prick. |
