Topic: random design WIP

I decided to just randomly make up a company and design something.. I haven't been doing much of anything lately.

I like the menu from the last two, but the area under the menu from the first one (except for the nice bevelled footer on the last one [even if footers are goofy]).

Red content area makes my eyes bleed.

Nice logo and I like the font face except for where the 'T' and 'A' meet.

I actually like the first one and the second one the best. I have to agree with reisio on the red content area. wooo....

I don't care for the background on the last 2, it just seems kind of 80'sish

the ribbon looking footer on the 4th one is a nice effect.

the part on the first one where the logo is seems really out of place but I like the way the menu lays against the black and I like the background better than the others.

First thing I should have realise when I looked at that is what the company is selling, or offering, or trying to get me excited about. All I see there is, well, random shapes and clashing colours.

Sorry, but I can't honestly say you've designed anything there. Web design is all about how you choose to present "something". What you have there is a random spattering of ideas on what cool effects you think would look good as a web site.

Find a subject you like, apart from Photoshop, and design a way to present it to a viewer thought a website. You'll find the whole task of designing something along those lines will be easier, much less random and a lot more successful and rewarding.
