Ok stop me here if I am in the wrong forum. I would like some tips or advice from you guys on how to get my dream job... It really seems so hard to go from A to B, I really don't know where to start... So here is what A is like: 1. In-house graphic designer 2. No graphic design team, so no other creative person to evolve with (my biggest issue) 3. Very little to no career prospects as there is no way I would (like to) do the job of the three other people in the company - one of them being the CEO 4. Very average wages, but could be ok if above was different And here is what B sounds like, ideally: 1. A very creative role 2. Hands-on not necessary - consulting or director would be perfect 3. Team work and contact with other creative people 4. Young, fun, exciting environment So... I am quite desperate at the moment, because I think you can only go from A to B with either or all of the following: - Degrees in business management and/or marketing - A "breath-taking" portfolio - Networking - Luck, charisma, long legs and/or big mouth So how do you get there? Here is an example of something that would just make me so happy but I know for a fact they will get a giggling fit if they read my CV :o Any words of reason here? Cheers [small](Edited by kimson on 05-17-2007 12:48)[/small]
