hi...
as a beginner, what are the best things to do first?
what are the primary things that one must first be familiar with?
what are the things that one must remember always as a beginner and moving on to become better at web development and the like?
tips and tricks... and tutorials.

thanks a lot...

there are so many tutorials on the web that sometimes it becomes confusing where to go first... and links and resources in every site add to more of the confusion.

thanks so much... hope you all can help.

if you want to teach yourself, here are some starting points:

1. try looking at sites that you like, and viewing the source code.
2. search for text on the page to see how they are marked up in HTML.
3. Search the web for a crash course in html (or whatever you're interested in learning.).
4. Search for "hello world" exercises.
5. go to a bookstore and sit there and read about it over a cup of coffee.

all tutorials are worth looking into if you're a beginner. just keep reading and try doing some yourself. once you get the hang of it, you can do it with your eyes closed (kinda).

good luck

You can look for a particular flash software firstly and there are many tutorials in the Help option in the software generally.
Then you can search for some good websites to start, such as Smashing Magazine.

First you learn from http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp
This is a very nice site for beginner. Simultaneously you should practice. This will give you confidence to develop some code by your own. Then you can get some advanced knowledge by following other websites.
