I've also found there is to be an extremely rare meteor shower on the 1st September it's called the [url=http://space.newscientist.com/article/dn12443-rare-meteor-shower-to-shed-light-on-dangerous-comets.html] Aurigids meteor shower[/url] In fact there are quite a few for the rest of the year.
