hi i am developing a website for a friend i. I am using a pc and she a mac now whenever i use the colors she wants i have verry light colors hardly to be seen, but on her mac they a perfect, and the other way round.

So any ideas on solving this problem?? and if colors that different on screens how on earth shoul one choose the right colors?

your problem stems from the different "gamma handling" pcs and macs apply...

there is a tool called "adobe gamma loader" for windows.(ships with photoshop i guess) i use this a lot since i am not fine with the gamma defaults of windows. try it, you can get the same colors as she has.

the problem is not that i have other colors than she ..i can live with that ...but the rest of the world has different colors ...

Yeah, there's not really much you can do about it. The best you can do is try to find a color that works on both gamma settings. But then you have the problem of people having different monitors with different setups, etc. And let's not even get into the issue of color perception and psychology.

Bottom line: there ain't much you can do.
