So here by way of a slight diversion is the most welcome visitor to my garden come Autumn and Winter. He or she (as they both have the same colourful markings) stays bright and full of song whatever the weather or season. This little fella follows me about the garden watching for any goodies I might dig up or perhaps might share from my lunch. Smelling the remaining scent from the sweet peas and listening to his chirruping beautiful song is a joy that lifts my spirit at this time of year.
