The thing about even a fairly smallish deer, of course, is that those spindly little legs snap/fold away on impact, and the full bulk of its body can quite happily roll across your bonnet and through your screen. At any decent speed, antlers or not, that's a great recipe for catastrophic crushing injuries, broken neck, or even decapitation. I do wonder what happened to the poor deer. The damage to your vehicle isn't as bad as it could have been, so as long as the animal didn't seriously injure a limb, it may well survive. Despite my cynical nature, I kinda' find myself hoping...
