We're all shocked/speechless/jawless not because of the content of these old shows, but because these programs are now considered too whatever for young children raised in a completely pansified society, right? I mean, maybe it's silly to have to clarify that, but you never can tell. Anyway, I don't know why you're all so surprised. It's not like we couldn't see this coming--what with them banning tag in school playgrounds and all that crap. Fifty years down the road, Elmo and Barney are going to be considered hard core, the gateway to a life of drugs, sodomy, and crime. Heck, the wheels of the apocalypse are probably already in motion.
