Topic: caveat emptor

Going to build a new rig - sli - with 2 8800GT cards, once they go off backorder.

I would like to shop around online but don't know where to go for good prices and service.
TigerDirect comes to mind but their prices are no better than the local component shop and I would have to pay shipping on top.

Anyone recommend a good online vendor, preferably one you have dealt with already.

Newegg is good.

I second zavaboy's suggestion. I've shopped a bit online for computer parts and Newegg has always had the best prices and quickest shipping.

I get your point, but the most popular card on the market right now (backordered forever) is the 8800GT.
(not to be confused with the GTS, GTX, or Ultra).
And they don't have it, nor the motherboard I want which is also the most in demand and backordered forever
