Understand of course that we all know too well your technical ability and know-how, so assumed you'd lap up some more constructive criticism :P Anyway if it hits your target audience and fulfills its technical specification then there's nothing really wrong with it, regardless of semantics :) Poi probably gave you the best answer regarding screen resolution. however if you have something fixed in design then I would certainly make it viewable on a 1024x768 browser without showing horizontal scrollbars (thus probably around the 980px wide mark).
