If there has been any change in its stance, it will be for no other purpose than to better address the curiosity of its followers in a manner that befits its prime directive; keep the people ignorant! This prime directive has a purpose - instill fear of the Church and its representatives, and aid oppression of the masses. The CC has nothing to do with worshipping God, but with the unquestioning worship of His self-proclaimed representatives - proliferant child-rapists included. The Catholic Church has prospered as a direct result of this directive, and continues to do so today. Anybody who claims otherwise is ignorant of CC history and current events.
