Dear all,
At the term of a final effort towards truth, I have made a decision to dissociate myself permanently
from the community known as Ozone Asylum. I originally came here with a genuine interest for dhtml,
years ago, contributed scripts, contributed ideas, contributed advice - where I thought potential could be developped.
This is the third community I contribute to : www.cfxweb.net was, unfortunately, abandonned by it's very creator,
but to this day, the java applets coding contest I have taken care of lives, mirrored permanently
and offering an insight into programming special effects in Java. An insight, and open source - as much of my personal
activity on the web and on forums. Open as in : actively available to others.
I currently am a prominent member of another forum which celebrated it's 70'000th thread very recently.
At Ozone Asylum, I got involved into extremely heated discussions also, of which I assumedly provoked many.
While this was true for the inmate called InI - some people here have cultivated a grief against the said InI,
and sticking to that grief, will resort shamelessly to all possible means of agression, covert or overt,
on a systematic basis, towards me, turning their pre-emptive accusations into a self fulfilling prophecy.
Unfortunately, in line now with many of the former inmates - I have to call it quits, this is not what it used to be.
This is following the same line previously followed by the Gurusnetwork - it's called : DECAY.

I do not condone in any way the moderation practices applied here : from brute force to name calling,
I have seen it all, and much to my disappointment, one thing I have yet to see is a genuine willingness
to discuss issues through.
For the record : censorship as a WHOLE is FORBIDDEN in the main community where I am active now, not
the other way round. And the only condemnations that have occured have followed HUNDREDS of
explicitely insulting posts to the owners - who are, themselves, as many of the inmates there,
business owners and in charge of other people and a vast clientele. This does not make them "superior" :
this proves their personal worth as leaders, skills that have deserted the Ozone Asylum.
I do not, and will not, condone or tolerate : bullying against anyone. Name calling - which I did pay back
to some inmates, PAY BACK, not started, since my return - it is all there to be seen, and I wish for it to stay THERE and remind
newcomers of what they are to expect should they dare to bring in ideas too advanced to the moderation team.
I do not condone prejudices of any sort : racial, religious, philosophical, or any other form of random allegations.
I do not condone mistreatment of female inmates : I am glad they have the personal strength to stand
the challenge. I do not condone contrived ethical/moral views of people like Webshaman.

But what's far more important, is that while I do see some very respectable inmates, able to develop their potential,
and am fully willing to support this development, I also see activity levels have declined, and that, quite simply,
the true magic is gone.
I poorly gauged this when coming back : the pulp is dry, and down this road, the very attitude of those claiming
they love this community will be the inevitable kiss of death of the said community. By filtering out alternative insights,
by applying censorship extreme and random, they will inevitably castrate the potential of this place and lower it's value more and more.
And that, not the insults, not the banning, not the petty things, THAT willingness to blindly SINK the place
is the keenest sorrow and the greatest and sole truth Ozone Asylum still has to deliver.

As I refuse to be part of this decay and I reject any association with the entities representing the so called
"local authority", as I do not want to see the name of the place in my referrers anytime again.

To the people who have, and keep, contributing positive insights : DL-44, Poi, Liorean, Blaise, Reisio, Arthurio, I am saying -
"keep it up". But be very aware of what kind of moderation and direction this place has taken - a space shuttle, if it drifts
by a very small angle from it's trajectory, may end up in oblivion.
And unfortunately, what I used to love TOO about this place has shifted by a large angle.
I wish the best to all the people here, including the very moderators I do not personally value anymore.
For those need all the mercy in the world, and all the others deserve the same appreciation any human
should give to the next person.
