So I've recently decided to take my tinkerer's energy, filter it through my love of midcentury signage and focus it into a series of Googie-style art pieces.

I just put the first one up on eBay. Have a look!

That is pretty sweet. Unfortunately, it doesn't quite fit the decor of my current abode. I suppose I could put it outside my door and annoy the living crap out of my neighbors...

Cool! I lived in a house up a mountain in Ireland for a while, and it would have been great to have that above my door, as I would have been able to see it from about five miles away on the long, lonely walk home...

I know this isn't entirely relevant, Wes, but I have recently been playing Bioshock on the PC (my machine just about chugs through the game at minimum resolution), and several elements of the game remind me of your taste in artistic design. In case you're not familiar with it, Bioshock is a first-person shooter (with RPG-ish elements) based in an underwater city with strong steam-punk/1950s overtones. If you were into gaming, I think you'd be inspired by the level designs and concepts in that game.

Great work Wes! Is it weatherproof? :P

I love it Wes, great stuff, putting on the Ritz
So at what stage did you decide not to have one light bulb flickering out of sync?

Spot on! *lol*

Hugh: Co. Kerry, but I visited Dublin a few times. I was living a few miles up the road from Kenmare for half the time there; it's a good place for long walks! I would have been able to see that sign above my front door from about four or five miles up the Glengariff road towards Kenmare bay.

Ooh, ooh! I could have that arrow with the sign from Clockwork Orange..!

Nope, not weatherproof, unfortunately. And I did think about deliberately burning out one of the bulbs, but I had spent so much effort on getting them all to work.
