I'm looking for a video converter that will convert most anything to a avi. The reason for this is the school that I work at has a number of video cameras that the students use (Many are cameras from home.) but we only have Windows Movie Maker to edit the videos with, and Movie Maker does not work with that many file types. |

I think VLC has a pretty good video conversion tool too. At least, the audio conversion works splendidly (Though since it's transcoding and not just applying a new container to the same data, it's lossy...). |
