Edit: Suho posted while I was witting and did a good job of it. It looks like a modern update to [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rene_Descarte]René Descartes[/url] and mind body dualism. Also similar is [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Berkeley]George_Berkeley[/url] who I think wrote that things only exists while they are perceived so we need to have God looking at everything all the time. An interesting thing to see this video after reading about this in class. From my point of view there is no reason to assume that nothing exists or that a god is needed somewhere just because the senses are fallible. I prefer the [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Representative_realism]representative realism[/url] that says you perceive things inaccurately but the object actually exist despite how you view it or not. Going to the instance of feeding information to the brain Matrix style doesn't really changes things either. Just because your cannot tell the difference from seeing form your eyes and seeing from a device that is sending signals to your brain does not really make a difference in the nature of reality, it just points out that you could be tricked.
