[/quote] The Mayans thought that sacrifice was a good way of getting rid of sins and like Egyptians they had a god for every activity. This is just to show that ancient civilizations believed in many things. Besides afaik it's not even known whether Mayans themselves believed in the end of the world in 12.19.19.17.19 eg December 21, 2012. Even if they had such a prophecy then what reason/basis do we have for believing that it will come true? I don't know of any superstitious prophecy Mayan or otherwise that has come true and that hasn't been ambiguous enough to come true anyway or by chance. Loading...
