hello,

i am designing a website and i try to position a skyscraper-ad to the right of the main content.
now the main-content is a fixed-width centered 3-column layout and the skyscraper should be to the right of the right column. (since the skyscraper is not always present)

how can i achieve that?

thanks a lot!

Have you tried absolutely positioning the banner?

yeah i tried it, but got stuck since it should be a fixed size from the center of the page and absolute positioning is always from the topleft corner if im not mistaken.

Have you tried ?

code:
#skycrapper
{
	position:absolute;
	top:0;
	left:50%;
	margin-left:<halfWidthOfYouFixedWidth>;
}

Beside, position can be set from the right and bottom too. But top and left prevail ( at least when the text direction is left to right ) in case of conflict.

Why can't the ad just be floated to the right of the content inside the right-most column?
