I know some people who use(d) that to communicate accross the great firewall of China as SMS "mysteriously" took days to go to and from China. An actual notepad does trick for my notes. Or I could use Link. For passwords, I'm a bad person : I often use the same couple of passwords ( some long assembler mnemonics ). But I've been thinking of keeping doing that but "salt" them with the name or url of the site. That should provide some pretty long passwords I have absolutely no problem remembering.
