hello,

you probably have so many notes, passwords from many sites, ...

you want these info to be somehow accessible from anywhere yet secure.

one way for me is to use webmail's draft folder.

what do you usually do to manage?

The webmail draft is a cool idea. I know some people who use(d) that to communicate accross the great firewall of China as SMS "mysteriously" took days to go to and from China.

An actual notepad does trick for my notes. Or I could use Link.

For passwords, I'm a bad person : I often use the same couple of passwords ( some long assembler mnemonics ). But I've been thinking of keeping doing that but "salt" them with the name or url of the site. That should provide some pretty long passwords I have absolutely no problem remembering.

There are a couple of interesting suggestions for creating and protecting passwords in these pod-casts. Episode #4 and Episode #5. They are from the Security Now! series on security.

I know some people use Evernote for such things. There is a portableapps version but I am sure it's a paid software. PortableApps.com has some "notes" style software that you could just use on a flash drive so you can get it where ever. Just don't forget the flash drive

Could also use google apps for that I guess. Make it a private spreadsheet or something?

This old brain has a hard time remembering how old it is much less the large amount of passwords and such

No offense but...I hate Steve Gibson I used to listen to this show but dang. It was like an hour long commercial for SpinRite.
