One advantage to the hack is: with a hack, you can keep the hack in same proximity of the original style. I know you are saying that isn't an advantage, but... I would need to do something like this, something which prompts me that "woops, a hack was required for IE!", so example: div#content { position:absolute; margin-left:100px; margin-top:100px; } /* IE HACK REQUIRED!
