Hello All. My hard drive is about to fail. I've copied over most of the drive to the other drive and one of my folders (client folders) became corrupted and is showing no data. I downloaded this software: http://www.nucleustechnologies.com/NTFS-Data-Recovery.html and tried the evaluation and it is showing my data.

Before I shell out the $50.00 that it will cost, was wondering if anyone has a better suggestion. Free if possible cause I'm cheap!

I looked for free recovery tools:

http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/collection/collid,1295-order,1-c,downloads/files.html
->http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,23067-order,1-page,1/description.html

The first two look promising.

Lost data is the worst thing to experience for computer users!

one general suggestion: don't use the failed/failing hard drive or any other rewritable media for that matter as your primary hard drive ... make sure you don't write anything new on it so you get as much data back as possible

And the spamification of the Asylum continues.

Although I have to admit that this one was pretty well-targeted. A for effort.

(Not moving this because, well, it is relevant.]
