Topic: automatically splitting images up into rectangular pieces. (Page 1 of 1)

hello,

i have lots of images that i need to split up in the same format. all the images have the same width and height and all the images should split up in the same amount and size of pieces.

for example a m by n matrix where each piece is width/m and height/n .

how can i automate this? if not with photoshop, then maybe with another software?

In PhotoShop you could easily make an action that will:

Duplicate the image, Crop, Save, close. Offset.

thanks. but meanwhile i wrote a little javaprogram that did the cropping for me.

The 'canoical answer' would've been 'imageMagick' .
