He said Christopher had fired handguns and rifles before, but never an automatic weapon. "This is a horrible event, a horrible travesty, and I really don't know why it happened," said Mr Bizilj, a hospital director from Ashford, Connecticut. [/quote] Maybe perhaps it is because you are a total f&%king idiot? Sorry folks, but stuff like this gets my goat. Now, I did not have a father growing up (especially not one who pressed an Uzi in my eight year old hands and said "shoot'em up!"), but I did have men who, more or less, took over the role. And all of them were very controlling of the firearms that we had, and even though I did learn to shoot at an early age (as did both my sisters), we were taught to have a healthy respect for guns, and to treat them with care. We certainly were not allowed to shoot automatic weapons. We also did not shoot anyone, including ourselves. I cannot fathom what in the HELL was going through that father's mind (in comparison to the lead that went through his son's) in letting his eight-year old shoot an Uzi! I am having a hard time picturing that a trained, experienced Trainer allowed it. All I can say is, award the guy a Darwin Award. I hope he does not have other children.
