My stick pinned rattlesnakes to the ground.

I wish I had that stick these days...I know a few rattlers that need pinning.

Right next to me at my desk is ma Beatin' Stick. I've had it for about 20 years and we've been through a lot together. I hope to someday hand it down to one of my daughters.

My old chum had a beatin' stick named Mlarry. He was Mjolnir's lesser known little brother.

Excellent stuff..
We used palings to get our handy pieces of wood for guns, spears, swords and the like which also had the added benefit of breaking down the boundaries between neighbours. The neighbours, it has to be said, did not appreciate this kinder garden socialism.

I never did find out where my stick of sticks disappeared to, but the lad who lived two doors away from me is now a millionaire. I think I need say no more.
