So the basic problem is this: I want to use mouse scroll in a flash/flex application. However it seems that whatever I do (in flash) I can't stop the surrounding html page from moving up and down as I'm scrolling in the flash application.

So I'm looking for a javascript solution that would stop the surrounding page from moving while the flash application is in focus. How can I do that?
