Man teh forums of roundcube are pretty quiet and no ones answering nay of my queries there at all. I've run into another issue here with roundcube webmail although I don't think its a specific to roundcube. WHen I try to move certain messages from one mailbox to another, for example I find that I can't move those messages come what may and when I try I get a Can Not move message error.

Upon digging I checked and found that in the part of the code where the selected messages message IDs are acquired from the message UIDs the messages with problems do not return any message ID which is pretty weird.

I tried to access the same mail account using a different email client and YOW the messages causing trouble arent even displayed in the email account to begin with! WHats goin on here? Anyone have any idea as to what I should be looking at right here? I really need help on this.

sounds like a caching issue - probably the mail has been moved, but the client never got informed about it (or forgot to check).
Now, when it tries to access them, they're obviously not there -> empty mesasge UID.

BINGO!!! Infact pretty much like you said Tiberias - except the other way around. The client has a cache and would read form it initially - however the database cache doesn't properly synhcronize with the mailbox and thus we have mail headers in the cache but not in the mailbox and vice-versa - I just turned cache off and its working like a breeze.

Phew spent a whole day on this only to find out all I had to do was change a setting in the applications configuration. DAYAM!!!! Talk about time that could have been better well spent. Guess I'll need to look at how I can fix the synchronization so that it works with Database Cache enabled.
