More importantly, the black civil rights movement had nothing to do with slavery, and the real core of the movement took place nearly a century after the abolition of slavery. The movement was entirely about being able to do the same things as anyone else, and eliminating the laws and/or the legally tolerated behaviors that excluded them from doing so. I fail to see how the two are not part of the same fight... Loading...
