Topic: Guru's DL you there?

I think someone's again been messing with the site. All the latest topics were unreadable and when I clicked one it wouldn't load...just stalled out and I've not been able to even get back to the front page on a clean reload.

the board there seems to get spammed lately. maybe we can update the vBulletin version?

I cleaned that up some, hope I caught them all.

Grumble, that update would cost money, and seeing that the last real thread is from around April 08.... as long as the 'spam rate' doesn't get much higher I think we're fine, more or less.

The other names would still be Jason (for the hosting business), Steve and DL, Emps, Pugzly as admins I guess.

I cleaned up a bunch as well.

Since all of the sites linked to were porn sites, I went ahead and simply deleted the users (there were several usernames involved).

That's a big issue with vbulletin. I had the same problem on a site I manage for my high school reunion. Lots of one-offs creating accounts and then posting garbage. In one day, I had 4000+ posts I had to delete.
