Hello everyone!

I just wanted to tell you guys about the best playlist maker/musical library manager/player there is, MusicIP Mixer

Don't know if you guys are familiar with its previous incarnations, such as moodlogic, or predixis , or projects that use MusicIP music fingering algorithm, like musicbrainz .

This baby has a lot of functionalities, almost all in the free version.

It does the following:

- analises all your tracks and creates a musical profile for each, this allows you too:

--- generate mixes based on music similarity (select this and that track, create me a playlist with tracks similar to these);
--- intelligent shuffle, instead of a random shuffle, you can tell it to shuffle your playlist, so that similar tracks are next to each other (very awesome);

- detects song duplicates and corrupt files, very efficiently;

- it fixes tags! yeap, after analising, you can just tell it to fix your tags, where after identifying a track, it can retrieve artist, album, date, etc info, and alter the tags accordingly (much like musicbrainz);

- can easily rename and organize your collection filename and dir structure from tag info;

- allows you to discover new free music, based on what you're listening;

- allows to save playlists as pertaining to a certain mood (although i never used, im sure it's cool);

- a very good player, and library manager;

- even if you just use it as a complement to your regular media player, it's still the most awesome thing there is.

All these in the free version. The pro version does even geekier things.

I'm advertising, 'cause this is one of, if not the, favorite piece of software of mine, and i pretty much treat it as my precious, and never really shared it.

This turned out to be a bad thing, because there are now rumors of this project being dropped or something.

Either way. Trust me on this, given time, you will **LUV** MusicIP. So try it.

And if you really like, please buy it.

I don't know about you, but that certainly gave me pause...

ehrm.

Essas análises servem um propósito matemático. E são anónimas. Não és lá muito geek, tu.

Those analyses serve a mathematical purpose. And they're anonymous. You aren't much of a geek are you?
