If you need to give a copy of the presentation or printout slides you're pretty much stuck with it...software that hasn't evolved one bit in several iterations of Microsoft Office. But if all you need is to present, without distributing your ppt, well why not do it in your browser full screen? Then you can use all the graphical richness and interactivity that you would on the web....and you can add menus and hyperlinks to your presentation much more elegantly than PP (with or without its native VBA).
