I wanted to introduce myself. I am definitely a mad scientist, a programmer, and an engineer. I build things. I have fallen in love with high voltage and electronics once again. When I was a kid this was my natural state. For decades I was stuck with the corporate mentality, but then high voltage electronics has set me free. Among other things, I am building Frankenstein add-ons to my odd ball multi processor, Hydra. Hydra is growing motion sensors, power isolators, video cameras for eyes, RF frequency receivers, a pair of old TEK scopes hooked up to the stereo. Here is an old pic of a classic Tesla Coil that I made about three years ago. Right now I am going mad working out how to build a solid state Tesla Coil, DRSSTC. I can't stop thinking about it. I have a cool daughter in college, and she is taking CS as one of her majors. I am proud to have influenced her technically, and also to have provided her with some taste in horror movies. She is smart. I have a cool wife who works for our local congressman. She is awesome because she puts up with my insanity. Besides putting up with my normal bullshit and general mental defectiveness, she lives in a house packed with power tools, technical books, mathematics texts, and electronics. Waking up the in laws with lightning bolts jetting up through the floor has become more accepted. I have a cool cat, squffers, who sits on me every night and demands patting while I watch a Star Trek and comb her out. She likes that. My friends are rednecks and geeks from all over. I intend to distill liquid "Ingenuity", and drink it everyday.
