UBB Help
Well I've had this monitor for about a week now. It's not being put to the test as all I'm doing is bleeding the video from a laptop. That said, it is just great. I've not done any tweaking will wait for a new system before doing that. Set up was a breeze... open the box and there's a handle - lift straight up and it's all there in one piece. No stand to bolt on etc.... it's all there. It's an unfair comparison but from the laptop to this...is absolutely nuts. I could sit in front of the laptop for maybe 20 minutes tops before nodding off. Literally... it was nap time. And it appears we'll soon be able to utilize one of it's selling points. Portrait Orientation. My wife is the stained glass artist... I assist with design etc and we're just about to undertake a project that is 43" tall by 10" wide. Being able to rotate the screen 90degrees will make life a ton easier. I thought there'd be a pin to pull or some such but no... simply tilt and rotate clockwise. Have only rotated it a few times and it does take some getting used to but I can see this feature coming in very handy. I see if you go back to that other link up there the 'primer' at least 1 more 16:9 is on the market. As for the new system I'm getting a Mac Mini. An older one 1.66 2g ram but will do me just fine. A generous friend. I'm actually looking forward to learning something new. I've just had it with windows. From 3.0 to xp it's time for a new look. Excuse me now please while I rotate. =) *o* http://www.engadget.com/2009/08/05/necs-23-inch-multisync-ea231wmi-lcd-monitor-welcomes-displaypor/ ___________________________________________________________________________ ?Privatize the Profits - Socialize the Losses.?
