Topic: li'l plant

Itty bitty plant growing out of an enormous rectangular log on the property. More about the phtographed than the photography, obviously.

I wonder what kind of plant it will grow up to be? I can't tell yet from the first two seedling leaves, they are nearly always different from the leaves that are produced later.

Probably a water oak.

eigh....I kind of dig the picture itself. I suck at photography so it's all good to me ;-)

Water Oak, hmmm. Are you in the Southeast of the US reisio? I ask because that is where you mostly find Water Oaks.
