So I'm going to be building an online news network for an association of churches and it's been tossed around that we should be sticking to a 16:9 widescreen format as compared to 4:3. I've read sites that say shoot 4:3 and crop to widescreen. I've done a couple but when I upload to youtube and other video sites, it just comes out 4:3 with letterboxing. I am about to launch the first draft of this thing in about a month so I'd like to commit to whatever format I choose for it. And if so, what's the best workflow in FCP to do that. I messed around with a bunch of settings in compressor but came out with stretched video, low quality renders, etc. thanks!
