I do not know what to say... it had been coming a few years, but still it hurts like the bitch death is.

Yes, so sad. I shall miss his iconic presence in literature and in life.

I did not realise how badly I would feel at his demise. His books helped an awkward and disconnected young man to reconcile with an overwhelming and often senseless world. I thought he had more time. I had hoped, perhaps.

I miss him, though I never knew him. I felt I did.
