Hello,

Anybody written a book and published in the following topics?

- Technical
- Fiction
- Self-help

I am curious about the publishing method. Did you do self-publish (say via KDP)? Or you found a publisher? How hard was it to land a deal with the publisher?

Thanks!

sorry, gotta pass on that. I mean, I've been asked by a predatory publishing house to write a book, but I didn't get around to it.

I've heard that e-books on Amazon are an easy way to make a quick buck. I've also heard that writers' first books are usually less than perfect to put it kindly and need months of work from a good editor before any real publisher will actually consider printing anything.

I went for Amazon Kindle Program. If your book listed for more than 9.99$ if I remember well, then they take 70% and you take 30% !
