The simple answer is go and look at the object and think about how you would draw it and then come back and draw it!! Once you've drawn it and if you aren't happy with it post it in the Photoshop forum for ideas and feedback. However, over the years the question has been asked (where X equals anything you can imagine [wood, grass, tattoos, planets, etc.]) and usually answered.
