Your Text: Insert Slimies » Insert UBB Code » Close Last Tag \| All Tags UBB Help	We had this problem at the Gurus Network and it appears that the code we were using to automatically detect if someone was using Microsoft's instant messenger (MSN Messenger pre-XP and Windows Messenger in XP) was causing a moderate slowdown for some users but was making the site virtually unusable for people who had installed the Windows XP SP1 patch (removing the patch made the problem go away).
