I found this in the note clip next to my front door this afternoon. I think someone has the wrong apartment.

Judging from the date, it apparently took "Gabril" more than a week to screw up the courage to deliver it.

Unfortunately, I really don't know what to do with it. I'd hate for the little guy to think he just didn't get a reply.

Wow, that's awfully damn endearing.

I don't know what kind of neighborhood you live in, but I think it would be worthwhile to do a little asking around about the two names...

It reminds me of middle school. A bunch of people that were SO afraid of rejection that they would have to ask there friends to ask the girl that they liked out with them and/or leave notes such as this.

Funny, though, Wes.

A friend of mine did that to ask out a really nice looking woman in his art class once.

He took a crayon and held it in his fist and scribbled something just like that.

She circled yes.

picilla could well be priscilla, or jennifer, even.

very cute.

Just judging by the spelling there, I think you've got a love-stricken 5-year-old on your hands there...

Dropping a note by someone's front door that has nothing to do with that person is a prank? I don't see the point. It's not like it caused Wes any convenience or consternation (which is generally the goal of a prank)...

Nope, I'm sticking by my love-stricken five-year-old theory.

Funny this is, the spelling is better than a lot of the high-school students we've got here in the Asylum.

I live in a large apartment complex, so there's no telling where it came from. I don't even know my neighbors. (Hell, with the hours I work, I never see them.) I only occasionally see any kids around.

I thought about it being a prank, but if it were someone I knew, I'm sure they would have worked in my name somewhere. Besides, I'm rather out of the way for the people who know where I live.

Suho....the fact that Wes posted the topic @ asylum means
its bugging him thus an inconvenience hence a prank....
and from ur advice Wes might end up looking for 5 yr old kids
to hand the letter and this land him in trouble.

Binary: You obviously don't know much about our good friend Wes here (not that I'm an expert, of course). The fact that he posted it only means that he wants to share it with us in hopes that we will find it interesting and/or humorous. I highly doubt that the note has been bugging him...

Oh, and when did I give him any advice?

No, it's not bugging me. Just thought it was humorous. Kind of took me back to the old days. So, I thought I'd share.

And although pranks are intended to bug people, that doesn't mean anything that bugs someone is a prank. Don't see how it bugging me would change the intention of the person who left it.

Besides, what kind of person would feel inconvenienced by such a silly thing?

True. I guess I was referring to successful pranks. For all we know, this may have just been a failed prank. Failed, but amusing.

And, yeah, I'm wondering how Gabril is doing. But knowing what we kids were like then, I'm sure he's had Andrew begin Plan B.

I dunno, I think he managed to goof on "picilla" (Priscilla?) too, which kind of destroys his credibility (a google on "picilla" brings up 10 hits... this thread being number three).

Or maybe it is just a ploy to show that he is so emotionally distraught that he can't even remember how to spell his own or his girlfriend's names...

I wish people would leave notes by my door. All I get is the occasional Chinese take-out sticker stuck on my shoe cabinet, and that's no fun.
