I just wanted to know if any of you guys are going to be doing any planting this year? I am looking to put in a little garden myself. Just some small stuff like Leaf Lettuce, some marigolds, Anise, and some chamomile for my tea. Maybe some other things too but I have not decided yet. I am looking to start in with some herbs. |

Well, my wife and I are planning on moving out of the city this summer, and my wife wants to grow herbs on the porch of our new place. Not sure if that's considered gardening, but it's a heck of an improvement over what we've got now... |

My landlady does so much gardening that the place already looks like a jungle. I am going to see if she is agreeable to me dedicating an insignificant portion of the backyard for growing a small crop of medicinal herb. |

where I live now, I don't have much room for gardening...a couple of 3x5 foot flower boxes and whatever I can fit in pots on the patio (I rent, can't change anything =( ) |

I love to garden. My bulbs are coming up nicely. Don't have the full sun needed for vegetables though my wife and I are going to try basil this year. |

it depends whether I'm in the mood or not. Sometimes I do love planting bulbs then I'd get tired and stop, so I hate it. |

Really got into gardening the last 2 years, mainly flowers and few herbs since for some reason the dog decided to join the rabbits and eat the veggies before they are ready. |

I'm lucky to have a landlord who doesn't care if we beautify his property. Just a small apartment, but we've turned the small plot below our front windows into a flower garden. Our first Siberean Iris bloomed yesterday! It's so beautiful! And we've got another iris in bud, it'll probably bloom this weekend sometime. We've got lots of day lilies, and canta lilies (they are so huge and beautiful!), a couple of varieties of irises, some black-eyed susans, mums, and dianthus out there just waiting to bloom... With all the rain we've had, my daffodils and tulips didn't make it this year. |

We plant vegetables every year. Our garden is actually two beds, each about 5ft x 12 ft. |

oh god, well i got over excited about gardening as the weather report said the last sunny day before the weekend. SO out came the paint, turfed the earth planted flowers and it was very pretty. Except at the end of the day, i couldn't move! Poor axle was looking after me for days. A trip to the chirpractor helped and cost an arm and a leg. A very expensive day all in all. Gardening over rated and best left for the aunties to do. |

Gardening, lets see... does that include any work done in the garden ? or just the planting of flowers ? |

It's all hard work in the beginning, but maintaining a garden takes significantly less work than starting one does. And besides, the more you get out and play in it, the more endurance you'll build up for it. So take a break, Pink, get your stamina back, and get back out there! You'll thank yourself for it later! |

I adore trees... but I have a little basil herb plant that I am nurturing and a jade tree that I planted 21 years ago and its still only a foot and a half high. It is so so healthy and good for the soul to be close to plants... |
